Our History: Over 30 Years Providing Datacenter Products and Services

A company specializing in Datacenter products and services since our founding, Media Recovery was organized and financed in November 1974 by Robert C. Foley and several investors in Graham, Texas. The Company's charter included a dedication to assist Datacenters in optimizing the use of magnetic tape and printer ribbons through recycling. By providing services, such as tape certification, ribbon re-inking, and ribbon remanufacturing, Media Recovery generated significant savings for its customers.

Today Media Recovery has grown to become a major industry player with over 5 national distribution centers and a national sales force; a long way from our initial operation in an 800 square foot warehouse in Dallas, Texas. Our customers include such companies as Pfizer, Kmart, JP Morgan Chase, GAP, EDS, Exxon/Mobil Oil, The Limited, Fidelity Investments, Gateway, Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, Dreamworks, and IBM. We are a leading distributor of products from Avocent, Netbotz, APC, Imation, Fujifilm, IBM, Maxell, Sony, HP, NER Data Products, and TDK Electronics Corp. Additionally, Media Recovery offers a wide variety of Datacenter Services, including data library relocations and audits, Datacenter cleaning, tape duplication and migration, customer competitive pricing, and outstanding personal service.

Since our founding, we have been an innovator, creating groundbreaking products, such as Media Recovery 100% Certified Tape. In 1974, we developed a top-performing certified tape product — a first in the industry — as a customized solution for our customers. Today, it's one of the company's flagship products, providing our customers with a premium product at significant cost savings.
